Scott Goss is VP, Privacy Counsel for Qualcomm Inc., a wireless technologies and services company. He is Qualcomm’s first attorney to focus exclusively on privacy issues and is responsible for leading the company’s efforts to design, create, and execute a comprehensive and consistent global privacy program. 

He is an Adviser on the ALI’s Principles of the Law, Data Privacy project.

Mr. Goss began his legal career as a patent litigator for Skjerven Morrill MacPherson, a boutique intellectual property firm in Silicon Valley, and after two years in a law firm, he went in-house, first to a map database company, as Associate Counsel at Tele Atlas North America, and then to an online advertising company, as Senior Associate General Counsel at Claria Corp.
