ALI Members Advocate in SCOTUS Mock Trial

ALI members Alfred W. Putnam of Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP and William T. Hangley of Aronchick Segal Pudlin and Schiller were two of four advocates selected by The American College of Trial Lawyers to play in the invitation-only re-enactment of 1794 case, Georgia v. Brailsford.

The mock trial, sponsored by The College, included a three-member U.S. Supreme Court panel of Chief Justice John Roberts, Jr., Justice Stephen Breyer, and Justice Samuel Alito, Jr., that took place at Philadelphia’s Old City Hall on September 19. Chief Justice Roberts said that the event was meant to “share experiences and keep current” on common legal roots between U.S. and U.K. jurists.
