Daniel B. Rodriguez Discusses Recent Rosanne Controversy in Fireside Chat with Valerie Jarrett

Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law Dean Daniel B. Rodriguez sat down with Valerie Jarrett, a senior adviser to President Barack Obama and distinguished senior fellow at the University of Chicago Law School, for a fireside chat on May 31 during a conference on law school fundraising organized by the ABA. The conversation addressed the recent controversy surrounding Jarrett and comedian Rosanne Barr, as well as other topics including school fundraising, and the significant role that law schools have to play in the advancement of law and the protection of democracy.

On the meeting Rodriguez commented, “It was a very inspiring fireside chat and Valerie really connected with this large group in a way that made the discussion both lively and profound.”
