Professor Kenneth S. Abraham

Professor Abraham is the David and Mary Harrison Distinguished Professor of Law at the University of Virginia School of Law, where he teaches primarily in the areas of tort and insurance law. He practiced law in New Jersey before entering law teaching at the University of Maryland and later joining the University of Virginia School of Law.

Professor Abraham was elected to the ALI in December 1990 and to the Council in 1996. He is an Adviser on the Restatement Third, Torts: Medical Malpractice and Torts: Concluding Provisions projects and he was previously an Adviser on the Restatement of the Law of Liability Insurance project, the Restatement Third, Torts: Liability for Economic Harm project; the Restatement Third, Torts: Liability for Physical and Emotional Harm project; and the Restatement Third, Torts: Products Liability project.
