Reprint Permission

The material in ALI publications is copyrighted and may not be reprinted, posted online, or otherwise distributed without written permission from ALI. In most cases, a fee will be charged. We do not provide printed or electronic copies of requested reprint content.

Complete the form to request permission to reprint content from ALI publications*, including Restatements of the Law, Principles of the Law, the Uniform Commercial Code, and the Model Penal Code.

Our standard response time is approximately 10 business days. Your request will be delayed if the information supplied is incomplete or incorrect.

* ALI generally does not grant permission to reprint content from Council Drafts and Preliminary Drafts. Those drafts do not reflect ALI's position on a subject, are not publicly available, and should not be cited.

The copyright in the Uniform Commercial Code is held jointly by ALI and the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws (NCCUSL), and is administered by ALI under a policy set by the Permanent Editorial Board for the UCC.
