Joshua Dressler, Distinguished University Professor and the Frank R. Strong Chair in Law, has been a visiting professor at various law schools, including University of Michigan, UCLA, Fordham University, University of California, University of Texas, University of Houston and Arizona State University. He also has taught courses at the University of British Columbia and University of Auckland in New Zealand.

Dressler’s scholarship is substantial. He is the author of casebooks in the fields of criminal law and criminal procedure, as well as treatises in the field frequently cited by scholars and courts. He is also the author of more than 75 scholarly articles and book chapters, published in the United States and United Kingdom. He is editor-in-chief of the four-volume Encyclopedia of Crime and Justice and was instrumental in creating the respected Ohio State Journal of Criminal Law, for which he now serves as co-editor.
