Matthew T. Bodie is the Robins Kaplan Professor at University of Minnesota Law School. He served as a Reporter for the Restatement of Employment Law (2015) with Samuel Estreicher (Chief Reporter), Michael Harper, and Stewart Schwab.
Professor Bodie teaches and writes on labor and employment law, corporate law, and data privacy law. His book Reconstructing Corporate Law: From Shareholder Primacy to Shared Governance, with coauthor Grant Hayden, was published in 2021 by Cambridge University Press. He has co-written Labor Law for Foundation Press’s Concepts and Insights series with Samuel Estreicher (2nd ed. 2020). Along with Michael Duff and Marcia McCormick, he co-edits the ABA Journal of Labor & Employment Law for the ABA Section of Labor and Employment Law.
Prior to joining UMN Law, Professor Bodie was the Callis Family Professor and Co-Director of the Wefel Center for Employment Law at Saint Louis University School of Law. He has taught as an associate professor at Hofstra University School of Law, and he has served as a visiting professor at Harvard Law School and Notre Dame Law School.
