Laura V. Farber is a partner in the Pasadena law firm of Hahn & Hahn LLP and is an accomplished trial lawyer in the areas of employment and commercial litigation, and personal injury. Farber practices civil litigation with an emphasis in employment disputes and also counsels clients in employment and a variety of other matters.

Additionally, Farber is a member of the American Bar Association, where she serves as the State Delegate for California in the House of Delegates, Chair, ABA House of Delegates Committee on Rules & Calendar, the Chair of the American Bar Foundation (ABF) Fellows, past Co-Chair of the Coordinating Group on Practice Forward, past Chair of the Latin America and Caribbean Initiative Council, former member of the Rule of Law Initiative Board, a former member of the Steering Committee of the Nominating Committee, a former member of the Board of Governors representing the State of California, former Chair of the Policy, Evaluation and Planning Committee of the Board of Governors, Past member of the ABA  Executive Committee, past chair of the Commission on Youth At Risk, past chair of the Solo Small Firm and General Practice Division, past chair of the Young Lawyers Division and past member of the ABA Journal Editorial Board.  She has also served as member of the Board of Trustees of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, and as a member of the Minorities in the Legal Profession Committee, and she served as President of the Barristers, the LACBA’s young lawyers division. She is also a member of the State Bar of California, Latina Lawyers Bar Association, California Women Lawyers, Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles, National Association of Women Lawyers, Mexican-American Bar Association, and the Hispanic National Bar Association.

The Los Angeles Business Journal has named Farber one of the top 50 women lawyers in Los Angeles, and she was also featured in the Daily Journal's Top Labor and Employment Lawyers special issue for 2023.  In 2003, she received the American Bar Association’s Commission on Ethnic and Racial Diversity in the Profession – Spirit of Excellence Award and, in 2004, she received the YWCA San Gabriel Valley Women of Excellence in the Law Award. Ms. Farber was named 2022 National Latina Woman of the Year by the Mexican American Opportunity Foundation (MAOF), Woman of the Year 2022 selected by U.S. congressional Representative Judy Chu representing the 27th Congressional District of California, Woman of the Year 2019 representing the 41st Assembly District of California, was a KTLA 2019 Honoree, Hispanic Heritage Month Visionaries, received the NAACP Pasadena Branch President’s Award 2019, Ruby McKnight Williams Awards Dinner, the Judge Harry Pregerson Award, 2019 Roybal Legacy Gala, Edward Roybal Foundation, the League of Women Voters Pasadena Area, 2020 Power of Leadership Award, the Aspires-West Pasadena, Aspires Role Model Award 2020 and received the Asian Pacific American Bar Association’s 2020 Trailblazer Award.  On October 27, 2023, Farber received the Latina Lawyers Bar Association’s Mary V. Orozco Abriendo Caminos Award.

As a Tournament of Roses® Past President, Farber provided leadership for the 131st Rose Parade® and the 106th Rose Bowl Game® on January 1, 2020 during her time as president. Farber has also been named chairman of the Rose Bowl Management Committee from 2020-2025. Farber has been a volunteer member of the Tournament of Roses Association since 1993. She was appointed a Tournament Chairperson in 2004 and a Tournament Director in 2010. Throughout her extensive Tournament career, Farber has served on and chaired various committees including Decorating Places, Formation Area, Judging and Membership Development. She was elected to the Executive Committee in 2012.
