Erin Lagesen is a judge on the Oregon Court of Appeals, where she has served in Position 12 since November 12, 2013.  She has been the court's Chief Judge since January 1, 2022, and served as the presiding judge of the court's Department Three from July 1, 2017, through December 31, 2021.   Judge Lagesen was appointed to the court in 2013, elected in 2014 and re-elected in 2020.  Her current term of office expires January 1, 2027.

Before receiving her law degree, Judge Lagesen taught high school mathematics. Her legal career began with a clerkship for Judge Susan Graber of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She then worked in the litigation section at Stoel Rives before joining the Appellate Division of the Oregon Department of Justice in 2004.
