Enrique Braquehais is the State Attorney General ("Abogado del Estado-Jefe") at the Spanish Tax Agency (Ministry of the Treasury) in the Balearic Islands, which is headquartered in Palma de Mallorca.

He worked previously as State Attorney General (Deputy Director) at the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Secretariat of State for the European Union) and represented  the Kingdom of Spain before the European Court of Justice (Luxembourg).

Mr. Braquehais also served as State Attorney (Ministry of Justice) before the High Courts of Justice in Madrid and Barcelona. 

In 2010, Mr. Braquehais graduated from Stanford Business School (Executive Program) becoming a Life Member of the Stanford Business School Alumni Association. He has also completed postgraduate programs at Harvard Business School and IESE Business School. 

He is a regular lecturer and speaker in numerous courses and seminars. He has been professor at IE University and ESADE University.

Mr. Braquehais is recipient of the Cross of the Order of Civil Merit (medal awarded by the King of Spain) and the Order of Police Merit (medal awarded by the Spain Minister of Homeland Security).

He is currently Co-Chairman of the EU and International Law Section of the Madrid Bar Association.
