ABA Outstanding Nonprofit Lawyer Award Presented to Ellen Aprill and Jill Horwitz
Ellen Patricia Aprill of Loyola Law School, Los Angeles and Jill R. Horwitz of UCLA School of Law are recipients of the 2023 Outstanding Nonprofit Lawyer Awards from the American Bar Association’s Business Law Section. These awards are given to accomplished and civic-minded nonprofit lawyers.
Aprill received the Vanguard Award, which is reserved for a leading legal practitioner and their lifetime commitment to the nonprofit field. Horwitz received the Outstanding Academic Award for her distinguished academic achievement in the nonprofit sector.
Aprill and Horwitz served as Adviser and Reporter, respectively, for Restatement of the Law, Charitable Nonprofit Organizations, published in 2021.
