Chinese Judges Meet With ALI
A distinguished group from the Supreme Court of China, visiting the U.S., sought information about ALI and its law reform procedures. Nine distinguished Chinese justices and scholars met at Columbia Law School with ALI Director Emeritus Lance Liebman of Columbia University School of Law, ALI Deputy Director Stephanie Middleton, as well as three current and former Reporters: Ronald J. Gilson of Columbia University School of Law (Reporter for Principles of the Law, Corporate Governance project), Richard Briffault of Columbia University School of Law (Reporter for Principles of the Law, Government Ethics project), and Suzanne Goldberg of Columbia University School of Law (Associate Reporter for the Project on Sexual and Gender-Based Misconduct on Campus: Procedural Frameworks and Analysis)
The Chinese group was led by Mr. JIANG Huiling, Senior Judge of the Supreme People's Court (SPC) and President of the Chinese Institute of Applied Jurisprudence (CIAJ).
