Current Projects
The Institute employs a careful, deliberative process in the drafting of its projects and the approval of drafts for publication. The primary projects and publications are Restatements of the Law, Principles of the Law, the Model Penal Code, and the Uniform Commercial Code (with the Uniform Law Commission).
Members may join the Members Consultative Group of any project that will have future Preliminary Drafts and project meetings by visiting individual project pages.

Restatement Numbering Protocol
ALI has simplified its numbering protocol. Beginning in 2015, initial versions of a Restatement will be titled “Restatement of the Law” without reference to a numbered series. Restatements that are part of an existing series will remain in that series.
